POSITION VACANT: Artist Management Coordinator
Who we are:
Amplifire Music is a successful, long running artist management and label services company with current clients The Jungle Giants. Previous clients in their 20 year history include internationally recognised dance electronic outfit Confidence Man, multi-platinum singer songwriter Pete Murray, multiple ARIA winning duo The Audreys and iconic Brisbane band Last Dinosaurs. It is owned and operated by Brisbane-based music industry professional Stu McCullough.
The position:
We are looking for someone based in Brisbane to become our new Artist Management Coordinator. Working closely with Amplifire Music’s Director and owner Stu McCullough, Senior Artist Manager Hannah Morrison and external consultants, your role would cover many aspects of the day-to-day management of our artist roster and activities.
The position is a 32 hour, 4 day a week, Tuesday to Friday permanent role. You would predominantly work remotely, however we are looking for someone who lives in Brisbane so we can organise regular in-person team meetings and so you can be on hand to coordinate merchandise.
The successful candidate will need to be highly organised and analytical with an excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem solve whilst assisting the Director and Senior Artist Manager in a tight knit office. The music industry is an exciting work environment with a fluid and dynamic atmosphere.
What are your key responsibilities?
Liaise with our social media coordinator and relevant stakeholders (booking agents, publicists, and distribution companies) to organise content and collateral for releases and show announces
Coordinate interviews with our publicists and band members
Campaign project coordinator - assist with campaign check lists including due dates, required assets and team coordination
Assist with merchandise logistics/coordination of online stores, touring and stock levels
Assisting with regularly updating our websites, mailing databases, social media accounts and platforms such as BandsinTown, Songkick and streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Shazam etc.)
Maintain files, Dropbox assets, recordings, photos, artworks, artist PR and archive databases
Support team with general administration tasks
What skills you’ll have:
2-3 years experience in project or event coordination, digital marketing, social media or marketing roles. Social media skills across all relevant platforms is essential.
2-3 years experience in full or part time roles within the creative industries and specifically the music industry is preferred but not essential.
Excellent office administration and data entry skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with artists, promoters, publicists and other music industry participants.
Advanced Apple Mac, Excel, Dropbox, Google Suite and word processing skills with a knowledge of online music streaming platforms highly desired.
Excellent understanding of, and the ability to use all social media platforms and online platforms for websites and databases.
A pride in doing your job well and executing plans as part of a team working towards common goals.
An ability to work independently, monitor progress, and complete specific tasks over extended time periods.
The ability to manage your time and competing priorities to meet short deadlines.
It would be ideal to have your own transport.
